The game presents challenges connected with disaster response and evacuation during the disaster (in this case – zombie apocalypse!) in diverse culturally and linguistically environment. Participants take on the roles of citizens and rescue team members, but unbeknownst to them, the road to the safety won’t be easy!

Gameplay

Moderator prepares the room for the game, space, and materials for all participants.

Moderator places “Evacuations Signs” somewhere inside or outside the room.

The moderator introduces the game to the players without spoiling its premise.

Moderator distributes envelopes with game materials.

Moderator announces the start of the game. Players read instructions and act accordingly.

After scheduled time game ends and moderator starts debriefing.

Disaster response and evacuation during the disaster.

Players understand problems connected with language barriers during risk situations.

Players understand problems encountered by people with disabilities.

Players learn about problems connected to evacuation in multicultural and multilinguistic environment.
